On the other hand, I am ordained as Reader in the Orthodox Church, know how to chant in Church Slavonic and am generally conversant with the culture and the rituals of Orthodox Christianity. In the interest of helping people understand each other better, I want to try to bridge this gap by posing and answering a few probing questions"

Whatever it is you believe in, be it a spirit or a government service, you believe in its effectiveness in achieving a certain objective, be it making children happy, making adults feel better about themselves or achieving your own peace of mind, you are a believer. When the Beatitudes are read and the meek in the audience hear “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth,” [Matthew 5:5] you may observe for yourself that the meek perk up a bit. This may lead you to believe in the ability of the spirit of Jesus to make people feel better, and a spirit that can do that is not one to turn up your nose at.

By now you may be thinking that belief in spirits may be useful after all, but then what about the use of reason? Isn’t reason the supreme human achievement, replacing many centuries of atavistic belief in spirits and things invisible? Shouldn’t all of us advanced, educated people be data-driven and rely on the scientific method?

Before I answer this question, let me add another element: belief in spirits can be viewed as an end in itself because it opens up one’s senses in unexpected ways. Here is a trivial example: if I look at a page of Church Slavonic on a web page while listening to it sung on Youtube, I can actually smell incense—an instance of synesthetic perception. But it goes much deeper than that and becomes an immersive experience. Most people are born being able to see, hear, smell, taste and touch. But with a bit of practice they can also learn to directly sense spirit—a sense that is inaccessible to the scientific method and therefore disregarded by the skeptical mind, but that is nevertheless intensely real to those who possess it.

Unscientific though this is, directly sensing spirit is very potent medicine for whatever ails you—far beyond anything science can offer. In a word, it gives people joy. But in all my years working in hard science I have never witnessed joy. Not a single scientist was seen transported with scientific rapture. On the level of emotions and sensations, the scientific pursuit is all about ambition and pride on the one hand and fear of failure and humiliation on the other, adding a bit of stress to spice up a great deal of tedium. And then there is an important irrational factor: the huge amount of ego invested in their game motivates scientists, engineers and technologists to push the only tool they have—reason—with wild abandon.


And then there are the abysmal results from exercising their reasoning faculties with wild abandon. The Age of Reason is said to have dawned around 1800, thanks to Thomas Paine. In the two centuries since then we have used reason to despoil our one and only planet so severely that species are now going extinct 1,000 to 10,000 faster than before and our own survival as a species is seriously threatened. Our vaunted reason has allowed us to create a planetary-scale machine that is blindly burning through the entire accessible store of fossilized carbon, severely disrupting the climate, and has led us to create a military machine that has destroyed country after country and that may end up killing us all. But reason is impotent in helping us shut down any of these machines.


Here we come to the crux of the matter: by now lots people around the world have little to no faith in reason left—specifically, in the ability of human reason to achieve anything other than more mindless destruction of their society and of our planetary habitat. Instead of trusting reason, they would prefer to put their faith in the spirits that have guided humanity through many millennia. Note that throughout that time we posed no existential threat to our own survival or to the planet’s ability to sustain a diversity of life. If you tell those who have become skeptical of your abilities to exercise reason that they are ignorant, uneducated, atavistic throwbacks to a primitive era, why should they listen? After all, many of the facts—which is all that you are allowed to reason with—are not on your side. And if they do listen and throw it back at you that your faith in reason is blind faith, how will you convince them otherwise?


It may well turn out that reason is an evolutionary dead end for our species and that putting all of our faith in reason is a suicidal move. Reason’s practitioners have turned out to be a bunch of sorcerer’s apprentices, setting in motion machines that they don’t know how to shut down because their reason is too feeble. Yet many of them still see it fit to opine on all the things that exist and to declare that because spirit is not a thing it therefore doesn’t matter. To an outside observer they themselves appear possessed by a certain spirit. I will leave it to you to work out what that spirit is."

Powerful and interesting stuff I expect that you will agree. Anyone who has been in a large football crowd will understand what he means by spirit.
And it is very difficult to argue with his point that we have been destroying the planet at an ever increasing rate since the dawn of the Age of Reason. See my last post for just one example.
More human spirit and less relentless economic, and most other forms of, "growth" seems appropriate to our current circumstances wouldn't you say?

The real nuclear threat

No, it's not Donald Trump

You may be aware of the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe in Japan, it is bad bro.

3 reactors melted down after the Tsumani about 5 years ago. They are polluting, and killing, the Pacific Ocean.

The Japanese authorities do not know where the nuclear fuel is. All that they know is that it is somewhere underneath the reactors.

And that the groundwater from the nearby hills is flowing through the site and into the Pacific Ocean every day.

The radiation is so intense that a human exposed to it for 1 minute would die.

Electronic robots last a few minutes before their control systems seize up.

The problem requires an immediate technological leap forward which has not yet been forthcoming. 5 years on and no solution is in sight.

It is a human catastrophe of incalculable proportions. But the controlled main media ignores the story. Mustn't scare the sheeple.......... Scared sheeple stop spending. Can't be having that can we.........

All this is bad enough but there is an even worse threat on the horizon: Ukraine.

If you only read/watch the controlled main media then you might have the impression that those pesky Russians fucked up Ukraine. You would be totally wrong. It was the fascists in the US and EU that fucked up Ukraine. The Rooskies were in fact bemused onlookers. The Maiden coup was US funded and US run. Old George Soros, the Wests favourite oligarch, was in the thick of it as usual. The EU was complicit. And Ukraine is now a failed state as a result.

This is all easily proven if you know where to look. Don't believe me? You've swallowed all the main media bullshit? Well more fool you. I'm not going to point out the detailed sources in this post. I've got bigger fish to fry; the real nuclear threat

Here is a copy of a recent article from a Russian emigre, Dimitri Orlov. Read him carefully, his info is rock solid. My comments at the end:

"On January 26, 2017 the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Science and Security Board has moved up its Doomsday Clock 30 seconds closer to metaphorical midnight, and it now stands at just 2.5 minutes to midnight. Why did the Board decide to make this change? Essentially, “because Donald Trump.” In other news, the Board also observed that although the Paris climate accord is a good thing, the climate is pretty close to midnight as well.

These are very serious people: well-educated, professional, some Nobel Prize winners—in a word, experts. We should trust their word. But then they trust Donald Trump’s word. What gives? Apparently, none of them are experts on Donald Trump. I don’t pretend to be one either, so for the paragraph that follows let me turn it over to my old friend and resident expert on all things Trump, Captain Obvious.

“If you look at Trump’s business dealings, he has been consistently cautious and risk-averse. And so I remain entirely unimpressed by the untestable hypothesis espoused by the atomic experts that Trump’s mouth is capable of moving the minute hand of the doomsday clock. But I am even less impressed by something else: the complete and utter failure of these nuclear sages to understand what the actual nuclear threat is, which is, at this moment, becoming quite extreme. For this they may perhaps be forgiven; if all they do is read and listen to Western media sources, then they would never find out anything about it. Western intelligence sources are no better, seeing as they appear to have been “hacked by the Russians.”

Yes, it’s all in Russian, and no, GoogleTranslate is not your friend, there being no substitute for at least six semesters of Russian.

Unfortunately, it ignores the nuclear risk dimension. The Saker is good, but there is a big piece of the picture that is missing, so please read his article first, and then I will fill in the rather important details.

First, some background. The Ukraine inherited a very impressive energy sector from the USSR, which includes 15 nuclear reactors, huge hydroelectric installations and lots of thermal generating capacity that uses natural gas and coal. With the exception of three nuclear reactors that have been refueled by Westinghouse (with mixed results; their fuel rods tend to warp and jam, disabling the reactor) all of the Ukraine’s nuclear fuel comes from a single supplier in Russia. All of the Ukraine’s natural gas comes from Russia as well, but since Ukrainian politicians don’t want to work with Russia for nationalistic reasons, Russian gas now comes to the Ukraine from the West, and at a higher cost. Also, there isn’t enough of it. The Ukraine’s coal-fired thermal generation facilities were designed to burn Ukrainian coal—specifically, anthracite—which specifically comes from the Donbass region, which is now under separatist control.

A bit more background, and then we can move on to what the actual risk is. Electricity demand fluctuates hour to hour and day to day. Peak electricity demand is in the morning and in the evening, with higher demand during weekdays than at night or on weekends. Nuclear, hydroelectric, coal-fired and gas-fired generation facilities all differ in how well they can compensate for changes in electricity demand by ramping up and down. Hydroelectric is by far the most flexible, because sluice gates can be opened and closed in minutes, cutting turbines in and out of production. Gas is quite flexible as well, followed by coal. Nuclear is the least flexible, because nuclear fuel produces heat by breaking down along a decay chain that consists of many radioactive isotopes that decay at different rates—some fast, some slow—giving the entire system tremendous inertia. Unless a nuclear reactor is ramped up and down quite slowly, the energy output will not be directly proportional to the control input. If the operator is careless, it is possible to cause a meltdown, as happened in the Ukraine at Chernobyl in April of 1986.

Since the overthrow of the Ukrainian government in the spring of 2014, the Ukrainian economy, which hasn’t been doing well ever since the USSR fell apart, has gone into a nosedive, with double-digit annual GDP declines, turning it into a country of refugees and paupers. Until then, the Ukraine had some very impressive industrial capacity, which it inherited from the USSR, and which was wedded to Russian industry through a multitude of business relationships. When in 2014 Ukrainian nationalists seized power, they started working hard to cut these ties, and much of the industry shut down. It was this industry, working in shifts round the clock, that provided the base load of electric demand that the nuclear power plants provided for so nicely.

With the dramatic decrease in industrial activity, base load has been much reduced. With natural gas imports restricted due to the inability of the Ukrainians either to negotiate a discount with the Russians or to pay the full price for the gas they need, their ability to maneuver using gas-fired power plants has been much reduced. And with the civil war in Eastern Ukraine, the supplies of coal have been reduced too.

And now came the coup de grâce. A small group of armed Ukrainian nationalists decide to blockade the Donbass, to make a political point. Although it should have been trivial for the Ukrainian army to remove this unauthorized group, so profound is the state of political decay there that nothing was done or even said about them. In response, the separatist authorities in the Donbass have announced a counter-blockade, and will no longer export coal to the Ukraine. They will export it to Russia instead.

Keep in mind, what the Ukrainian coal-fired plants need is not just any coal but anthracite, and the only place where they could possibly get it from is the Donbass. First, there just aren’t that many sources of anthracite left in the world. But even if the Ukraine could find a way to burn the lower grades—lignite and bituminous coal—it doesn’t have the ports to receive the imports. Remember, all of Ukrainian industrial capacity is part of the Soviet legacy, and Soviet central planners didn’t plan on any coal imports.

The result is that nuclear power is now responsible for 60% of the Ukraine’s electricity generation, while coal and gas-fired generation has plummeted by 39%. What this implies is that the nuclear reactors are being cycled up and down on a daily basis—a prescription for disaster. This is being accompanied by skyrocketing electricity rates and widespread power outages—not a situation that is conducive to social stability in a country that is already a failed state, overrun by roving gangs of heavily armed thugs. The rabidly nationalistic among them—such as those who blockaded the Donbass—may very well decide to blockade deliveries of Russian nuclear fuel, and then what?

Even before that happens, the relentless ramping up and down of the Ukraine’s remaining 15 nuclear reactors will sooner or later lead to breakdowns and quite possibly to meltdowns. How is a failed state rife with separatist sentiment (not just in the Donbass, but also in Mariupol, Odessa, Kharkov and other regions) supposed to cope with nuclear calamities in the midst of widespread power outages? Some voices in Russia are proclaiming that to avert multiple nuclear catastrophes in the heart of Europe it is essential to take the Ukraine’s nuclear installations under international control. The only ones who can actually make it happen are Russian special forces (such as the ones who just rubbed out ISIS in Palmyra). Faced with the prospect of 14 Chernobyls on its doorstep, the European Union is unlikely to object. Of course, this will bring to an end the Ukraine’s latest, and so far the longest, experiment with independence, and will spell the end of the Ukraine as a supposedly sovereign national entity.

And so this, I feel, is the greatest nuclear threat currently facing humanity. Unlike the bedandruffed professorial types who hyperventilated over Trump’s tweets and determined that it is now precisely 3.5 minutes to midnight, I am not going to set any timelines. Nor do I recommend standing idly by and watching what’s left of the Ukraine degenerate into a Somalia or a Libya with 15 Fukushimas."

Stunning stuff I am sure that you will agree. The US & EU fascists have turned Ukraine into a failed state. And the whole of humanity is threatened as a result.

But hey, never mind all that. Keep watching your TV. Keep staring at your smartphone. Keep looking at your social media. Keep your head up your ass [where the powers that be want it].

Keep being utterly distracted by mindless shite in other words. Don't worry your pretty little heads about this sort of stuff. Above all keep CONSUMING....

Post war Nazi smoke and mirrors

I recently saw this interesting post by Joseph P Farrell which includes, towards the end, his usual "high octane speculations". In other words his speculative opinion based on known facts. I present a couple of short extracts here, followed by my own comments:

"This important article was shared by Ms. B. and Mr. D.W., and I have to talk about it simply because, as most readers familiar with my books are aware, I've posited the existence of a post-war "Nazi International". For those unfamiliar with this concept, however, a brief review would be helpful. By the terms "Nazi International" or "Fascist International", I mean to designate not merely the survival of Nazism and Fascism. Most people are aware that Nazis and Fascists survived World War Two, if for no other reason than by dint of famous novels like Ira Levin's The Boys from Brazil or the movie version with Gregory Peck playing a post-war Dr. Mengele conducting genetics experiments to clone Adolf Hitler himself, and Sir Lawrence Olivier playing a Jewish Nazi hunter determined to stop him. Most people have the idea of post-war surviving Nazis and Fascists hiding out in the wilds of South America, living cushy lives in remote enclaves far from the roving bands of the Mossad hunting them down and (occasionally) finding their prey (Adolf Eichmann).

Levin's famous novel and the famous movie based on it, however, make a more sobering point, and it is exactly the point I have argued in my books: post-war Nazi survival was far from a disorganized rabble simply hiding out in South America. It was organized, financially very well off, deeply interconnected with various levels and agencies of postwar governments and corporations around the world, but it was also possessed of an independent intelligence capability, including the ability to mount covert and "wet" operations, and as well able to conduct and continue some of its wartime black projects and research. Essentially, it is a kind of extra-territorial state, deeply intertwined with other such transnational power networks. Even Levin's fanciful "plotline" of Mengele conducting advanced genetics projects may have had some kernel of truth, given that only a few years ago a Brazilian village suddenly started producing children with blonde hair and blue eyes from a predominantly Brazilian Indian population. And as for covert post-war operations, in Germany itself there is the famous (though now largely forgotten) episode of the Werner Naumann coup attempt to overthrow the government of Chancellor Adenauer in Bonn and install a new Nazi government, a coup which I detailed in my book The Third Way."

I have read Joseph's book, whose full title is: "The Third Way: The Nazi International, European Union and Corporate Fascism", from cover to cover and twice. It is a fascinating read and it provides copious details about the origins of the European Union which are rooted in the German elites. Yes, those same elites that facilitated the Nazis. The massive German corporations, their industrial cartels, who all survived the war virtually intact, were at the heart of the EU project. Many of their operatives took key positions in the European Economic Community, the fledgling EU superstate. It was big corporations setting the political agenda. ie. Fascism, by definition.

This agenda was also coincident with US objectives for Europe. The US deep state, and many of the big US corporations, wanted a supra national entity to handle European affairs and to facilitate their control of their de facto Empire. They started working for this with the Marshall Plan immediately after WW2 and they never let up. It continues to this day.

[Why is it, do you think, that when the US deep state says to a European politician "jump!" then, all European politicians always now reply "how high?". Historical note: One of the few that didn't was Charles De Gaulle, a true French patriot who waved 2 fingers at Uncle Sam. He even took France out of NATO. A display of independence that is unthinkable now. He retired in 1969 and we've not seen his like since. In fact the current crop of European "leaders", Merkel, Hollande and co, are the most blatantly obvious US ciphers. They don't even try to hide the fact]


Further, I have also read "Blowback" by Christopher Simpson, written in 1988, which covers in detail the US's spooks "Operation Paperclip" the post WW2 operation to transfer senior Nazis to the US. The secret operation is admitted now. It even has its own Wiki page:

The story of the rocket scientists is now known by many. But Simpson gives a much fuller chapter and verse in his book. He explains how the small number of Nazis that they admit to is way too low. His estimate is that over 70,000 of the more influential Nazis found shelter in the good old US of A. It was a massive operation and most of them got US citizenship as a result.

The US spooks defied the US Congress which had passed a law making it illegal to give citizenship to ex Nazis. The spooks simply ignored Congress and secretly protected over 70k important Nazis, who became members of the US Establishment. That fact alone gives you a good idea of where the real power lies in the US. Hint: It's not with "democratically" elected politicians.

[The spooks really work for the Trillionaires, and their key operatives, of course. All conveniently funded by the US taxpayer. That's right folks - keep paying your tax, it's all in a good cause]

Simpson also provides chapter and verse about the US deal with Reinhard Gehlen who ran the wartime Fremde Heere Ost (Foreign Armies East) Nazi intelligence network. Obviously the US was very interested in Russian intel during the cold war. The fact that Gehlen was an important Nazi mattered not one jot. The deal with Gehlen was in fact at the center of Operation Paperclip. Gehlen has his own Wiki page too:

Of course, as you would expect from the fully controlled Wiki, the real history is suppressed, whitewashed if you like. They even claim that Gehlen was a minor player in the Claus von Stauffenberg plot to kill Hitler. And that he got lucky and wasn't arrested like all the others! An obvious attempt to whitewash Gehlen. And obvious bullshit too, even if the plot itself is true.

However, even Wiki admits that Gehlen became the first head of the BND, the modern German intelligence outfit. The BND is the German equivalent to CIA, MI6 etc etc.

So the first head of the BND was a Nazi then.

This meant that the BND was effectively controlled by the US spooks. The CIA and/or one, or more, of the dozen or so, alphabet soup, US three letter agencies. They directly controlled all their Nazi spies in their West German network, the BND.

Plenty of food for thought with all this I think. And so, in conclusion:

All those fascist geopolitical actions by the US Empire since WW2 maybe make a bit more sense now that you know about some of this? I've only scratched the surface in truth. There is far more.

And all this is even more evidence that the official academic history, as taught to all schoolkids, and trotted out regularly by the tv and media, is very partial. It misses so many important facts. Which is why I labelled it "seriously dodgy" in my earlier post, "Who pulls the strings?". In fact calling it seriously dodgy is putting it very mildly indeed.


Finally, these so called "historians" of academia would have you believe that the fascists in uniform, those Nazis and their Italian, and Spanish, mates, were the only real fascists of any note. And that their defeat in WW2 was a comprehensive defeat for fascism.

But this is simply not true. It is a purposeful distraction.

The fascists were not defeated in WW2, far from it, they just moved into the shadows of the unaccountable Western Establishment. The bad guys of the hidden elites were the original fascists, even before the Nazis, and they are all still in place. At least their descendants are.

So it's not the overt political fascists that we really need to worry about. They are usually just controlled opposition, and tiny in numbers.

It's the covert Establishment fascists that are the real problem. Our hidden rulers who lurk in the shadows. The Trillionaires and their peers, plus their numerous operatives, who are less occult-ed, but, who usually do their masters bidding.

[They are a serious cohort, because, say, 0.1% of 7 billion humans is 700,000 people. The exact number is impossible to know, but the order of magnitude must surely be in the right area]

I am clearly not just talking about mainstream politicians, far from it. There are many that are even more important than politicians in this cohort. There are the numerous intelligence agents, the banksters, the executives of the multinational corporations, the senior legal people, the senior military "defence" complex people, the senior media people, the senior religious people, and many more.

They are not a completely homogeneous group either. There are many factions within this global, mafia like, cabal. Different factions prevail at different times too. But, at root, they are all on the same side, and it's not our side. They are not on the peoples side.

Politicians across the globe are undoubtedly very useful to this mafia like cabal. They often make important day to day decisions. But the policy is decided elsewhere, in more secretive places than mere parliaments. In fact politicians are primarily for presentational purposes, for tv and media, and propaganda. They present the elites decisions as though they are their own. They are often mere actors who are comparatively low down in the pecking order.

These stooges serve to distract us from our real problem and they are very effective implementing the elites divide and rule strategy. The politicians divide us all the time don't they. They divide us even when both options offered are obvious fakes. Witness Clinton and Trump last year. With all the hatred and hot air that was generated, and is still being generated.

I have recently heard ordinary people, who actually describe themselves as "socialist", calling for the assassination of Trump ffs! As though assassinating a puppet/clown will make any real difference! This division of us the people, this splintering of us into many opposing groups, is one of the elites key control tools. Instead of tolerance for differing opinions we find bigotry all around us, on all sides. And so much anger between the various sides. Anger that is focused in entirely the wrong place.

It is so sad because it plays straight into the bad guys hands. Together we the people could prevail. Divided we've got no chance, we are lambs to the slaughter.

The occult-ed fascists are in control, they have been for ages, but hardly anyone seems to notice.

Who are all fronts for US deep state projects

Here is some speculative analysis based on the ridiculous bios of 3 well known "billionaires". Miles simply unpicks, and then reinterprets, their life stories as told by mainstream sources.

When you think about them then, each of their official life stories is fairly obvious rubbish. They don't make any sense.  He points this out quite succinctly and offers an alternative interpretation.

It does not matter whether you accept his interpretation, or not. You can just as well envision your own from his analysis.

The question is: do you accept their official story? I doubt that you will after you read this.

1. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook

"He is a CIA creation. He now does nothing but get his picture taken. He produces nothing. He is not a genius. He is just a name and a face, another useful dupe of the powers that be. 3. Steve Jobs of Apple

"We now know they fake everything, from voting machines to stock market figures to government statistics to the entire art market. So why believe the Forbes' lists? I don't. Was Comrade Fidel a fraud?

The Cuba story makes no sense

First some background.

My wife and I went to Cuba in 2011 and toured the whole island. We visited all the key “revolution” locations too. It is a paradise at the coast, but undeveloped and mono culture [sugar] inland. There were horses and carts on their M1 equivalent. The development potential is enormous. The people are great, very diverse ethnically, and are highly educated; to a better standard than most Americans. There is a far better Health Service too.

Cuba is the only place that I have ever had an official, in uniform, beg from me. I gave her a Convertible peso, worth about a dollar. To put that in context a doctor gets the equivalent of about 100 Convertible pesos per month. The Local peso is worth one twenty seventh of a Convertible peso. So a doctor gets about 2,700 Local pesos a month, worth about $100. The locals, including the doctors, are all paid in Local pesos which are not convertible.

Only well connected Cubans are allowed to travel abroad. Cubans cannot buy and sell houses either. So there are often 4 generations living under the same roof.

There was nothing much to spend money on so I was very generous with the beggars who were everywhere that the tourists were; inland anyway. The system means that everybody wants to earn Convertibles. So it is no wonder that the black market is probably bigger than the official economy, it’s the only way to live comfortably. Our guide was quite explicit about that; so everyone is on the make. It was the same when we backpacked through Vietnam in 2000; another so called “communist” country.

Next, some interesting facts about Comrade Fidel:

First, he was an actor with his own IMDB page. He was an extra in some Hollywood movies, including two in 1946. That was the year that the CIA was formed.  Do you know of any other revolutionary communist leaders who had, or have, pages at the IMDB? Thought not.

Second, he played baseball in the USA. In 1951, Castro tried out for the Washington Senators baseball team. Wtf???

Third he was a rich lawyer who married a very wealthy woman. Castro was born to wealth (sugar plantations). His first wife Mirta Diaz-Balart was also from great wealth. She was a relative of Batista the Cuban dictator that Castro "overthrew"! Rich lawyers often become revolutionaries and overthrow the in-laws, don't they?

Fourth, he lived in New York City on many occasions, and he even spent his honeymoon there. He and Mirta were married in 1948, and her father gave them “tens of thousands of dollars to spend on a three-month New York honeymoon”. Could any other real revolutionaries of the time could say the same thing?.

Fifth, he was imprisoned by the dictator Batista but soon released. Conveniently in time to lead the "revolution". Do you think that this is a common mistake of many brutal dictators? Of course not, they wouldn't stay in power long if they did.

Now, here are some facts about the US military and security services:

1. The US military budget is about $750 billion per annum

2. The US security and intelligence agencies have a combined annual budget that is even greater than that of the military. So it exceeds $750 billion per annum

3. Therefore the combined annual budget for US security, intelligence and military exceeds $1.5 trillion per annum

4. The US has 750+ military bases [as of 2015] spread all over the planet. Guantanamo is just one of them

5. The US military has been in almost constant action for over a century. It has been at war somewhere on the planet for pretty well every single day of my life. The Korean War started just before my birthday in 1950 and the US has been fighting a war, somewhere on the planet, ever since. So it has lots of very experienced military and intelligence people

6. The U$ dollar has been the world’s reserve currency since WW2, the petro$ since 1970’s

7. The US is the world’s leading historical proponent of geopolitical coups and covert destabilisation actions in foreign sovereign nations. I think that it is fair to say that the US has well and truly outstripped Perfidious Albion by now

I am confident that all these facts are easily verifiable. You will find confirmation of most of them direct from the US government itself. The US establishment controlled Wiki will no doubt confirm them too.

Fact 7 excluded of course. But even here most of the older events are now freely admitted by the US government. They always wait a few decades before admitting their foreign misdeeds to their great unwashed.

Now let's just think about some aspects of the official US part of the Cuba story for a minute or two. They are asking us to believe some incredible stuff as real "history":

1. That the massive US could not swat the Cuban, half-starved, fly on its belly. Cuba is only 90 miles away from the US and is totally undefended

2. That the so called "Bay of Pigs" CIA operation "failed". That the US couldn't organise a coup in it's own backyard. The same US who are experts at organising successful coups, they’ve done it all over the planet. They've been doing it for ever too. It would have been easy as well, Florida is full of potential recruits

3. That the US couldn't over run an island where they already had a massive military base, at Guantanamo, which predated Fidel and his "revolution". All they had to do was drive out of the gate

4. That the US tried to assassinate Fidel hundreds of times, but failed every time. The US spooks are just so incompetent

We are talking about the biggest military and intelligence operation that ever existed. Yet they somehow can't organise anything effective in their own backyard. Try telling that to one of their South American or Middle Eastern victim countries. It is utterly ridiculous.

How can one accept their official propaganda about Comrade Fidel and Cuba?

That the massive US, with these almost unlimited military and financial resources at its disposal, could not defeat this undefended little island, that is only 90 miles away, and that has virtually no resources at its disposal.

What was stopping them?

Was it concern for human rights?

Was it concern for public opinion?

Was it concern that those pesky Rooskies might not like it?

Was it just incompetence?

Of course it wasn't, those never stopped the US anywhere else.

So what was it?


One can only conclude that the US must have wanted to maintain this so called communist place nearby. Because they could have swatted them like a fly if they really wanted to get rid of them.

This might seem incredible if you have swallowed all their ongoing propaganda about "communism". But once you know that all the big "communist" revolutions were funded by the US banksters then perhaps not. The Russian and Chinese communists certainly were funded by the banksters. So is Cuba just another one of their illusions?

Finally, back to Common Sense based on direct experience. When you see the “revolution” story close up, like we did in 2011 then, if you give it some thought, you realise just how ridiculous the story is. We drove from Havana to Santiago, visiting all the key revolution locations on the way. Locations being the operative word it seems in hindsight. Certainly they were all tiny

We then flew back to Havana, in a light aircraft, along the whole island. So we saw the whole of Cuba, from the ground and the air. I can assure you that the island was then, probably still is now, effectively defenceless and there is minimal infrastructure of any form.

It’s like a fairy tale. A fairy tale delivered by a very rich lawyer/actor/baseball player who was clearly not what we were told he was. It was Captain Mainwaring, and Sergeant Wilson, and their Dads Army platoon overthrowing the nasty and brutal, US supported, dictator. How likely is that?

The corporate media, and the "on the payroll" historians, just keep repeating the same story, over and over again.

I posted about the book "Tragedy and Hope 101" as an addendum on my "Vote Brexit!" post.

Having read it more fully now then, I realise that it deserves it's own post.

In fact this is the most important post that I have made so far.

If, like me, you are a student of history, real history I mean not the, seriously dodgy, official academic version then, this post is for you. It is primarily centered on the pivotal 20th Century and it reveals some essential truths about how the world operates today.

It is a very different story to the one that you were taught at your state school.

This book explains how modern financial monopoly capitalism was created during the early part of 20th century, by a small group of very powerful people based in the UK. How these private individuals gained the power to create and control the worlds money supply. How this power is used to control politicians, and all governments. How it is in fact used to control society, and a lot lot more too.

The section on money in chapter 5 is necessarily simplistic. But it still provides essential reading for the financially "challenged", ie. most of humanity.

The section on the lead up to WW2 in chapter 7 will be particularly uncomfortable reading for Brits. The only comfort that I can offer is that the machinations of the British based financial monopoly capitalists, who deceived the world and effectively created WW2, were not carried out on behalf  of the ordinary British people. Far from it, ordinary Brits were as deceived by them as much as the peoples of any other nation. It was exactly the same for the ordinary Germans too, they were manipulated even more. And they suffered far higher losses than Britain, France and the US combined.

So I strongly recommend that the student should try to put aside all their previous learning, and instincts, when reading this short book. Try not to be put off by the, often counter intuitive, insider information. Open your mind and assess the sense after reading each section; use your common sense. If you do then you will be very well rewarded, you will receive one of the best free education lessons that you could ever have.


Amongst many, many, other things this book demonstrates two very important fundamental points as follows:

In the main, politics is a front. The illusion of public input through the voting system is a form of mass mind control. Like religion the political process is based on faith.

Also that money is a faith based phenomenon. They print the money. They assign its value. The note is infused with their power. They giveth and they taketh as they see fit. And in their limitlessness they can assign value to nothing more than a key stroke. Money is not wealth. Money is a tool to herd the sheep. Wealth is the power to wield that tool.

Of course, officially, there are no trillionaires. Forbes list billionaires only, Bill Gates being the richest on their, very incomplete, list.

But just do the math: this small number of people who actually own the banks, and also the Fed, have been earning interest on every single dollar that has been in circulation since 1913. That is an awful lot of dollars. Of course they are trillionaires.

But I am taking my time, the info flows thick and fast. I found that taking notes as he speaks is a good way of capturing the essence. [This technique takes me back to my student days of the late 1960's. But I guess that the younger listener may not bother with that, far too 20th century]

For the full picture you could always buy the original book, but it is a very very long read at 1300 pages and 600k words. It is also notoriously dense and hard going.
